Installed! Pics of new setup.

Well, the HSport springs and RSpeed rear sway are finally on- They were some of the first things I bought while waiting for my MINI at the end of last year. I had them installed at Webb Motorsports for a great price so I know the work is top notch. About 300mi so far and no problems- the drop looks great, it rides softer than stock, then has the stiffness for aggressive cornering, and the RSpeed 22mm forged rear sway, which I thought would be way too much for the MC setup, is actually perfect! It's on the middle setting and the car is nice and flat in cornering. There is no tendancy for over or understeer, as far as I can tell, but I can feel that Tires, and probably wheels, are going to have to be next- maybe 17x7 wheels with 205/45- 17 Yokohama Avs ES100 or Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s. If anyone has any tire suggestions, I would appreciate it.

But, the springs are super. If anyone is on the fence about what kind of springs- the HSport are the best- Best drop, not too aggressive, great ride, good price. Here are some pics- (I don't have a good pic of stock height, though)

And just your opinion. There are other fine spring options.

wheels: 17's will affect the ride, so make that change with thought to exactly what you want out of the wheel size.

Both of those tires are fine and inexpensive. However, I know from personal experience the Kumhos MXs are very noisy once you get a couple thousand miles on them. They do handle fine but will chunk a little with track use when near new.

Sure, just my opinion.... I looked at a lot of other springs and went with these because of the slight drop and great testimonials here on NAM...

I will go with 17s, I probably won't be doing much track driving at all, and I was actually contemplating 18s but I've finally decided they're overkill. 17s look good and my MC's power can handle the rolling weight better than 18s. 16s are just not enough wheel for the car as far as looks go, although they would be great track wheels, and the only way I would do smaller than 17s is if they had a great deep dish like the old Sportpack Minis. Thanks for the input on tires! Anyone had any bad experiences with the Yokos?

Looks great!

As for tires, if I were you I might consider looking also at 215/40, rather than just going straight for the 205/45. Keeping the stock 205/45 size does have it's advantages though...

215/40 wil give you a bit more traction as well as a somewhat softer ride due to the larger volume. You should have no rubbing issues with either set up.
