Does Moton make anything that works with a MINI? This is obvious for hard core track guys, but I am just curious if anyone has heard anything about Moton doing anything for the car.

I talked to several Moton dealers last week, they said the clubsport version for our mini is still under development, Im getting them once Moton release the kit.

Price should be around $2500-$3000 and they dont come with springs

Why do you need remote resevoirs?

Oh and the Double adjustable gas emulsified shocks w/springs and remote resevoirs are only $2500. But none of us need all of that. The basic 24 position adjustable with gas emulsified oil would work well for any of us and the price tag is only $2100.

IMHO, $2100 is totally insane... I was talking to a track junkie/racer friend from the UK this week, and he was telling me he can get a full set of custom-valved 'shockers' (as he called them) with remote reservoirs for maybe $800 USD. Needless to say, I'll be calling him up when I want to replace my struts...

Motons aint exactly run of the mill...

Do a little research on Motons. They are in another league compared to Ledas top of the line. They compete primarily with Penske, Koni 2812, JRZ, and the like. Ledas are nice, but they are not Motons. If you watch Speed World Challenge, you will see many of the cars running Motons. I know that most of the front running Porsche club racers run them.

That being said, unless you are trying to eek out a few tenths/lap and you know how to tune a suspension, it won't matter. You would have just as much fun on a set of Koni yellows as you would Motons. If you want to run at the front of a class that allows this level of suspension, Motons are great.

Here's a quote from a Ground Control (the company that supplies countless BMW racers with their suspensions) employee from another board I'm on. I think it speaks for itself.

The Moton Club Sport is designed to be a streetable strut and shock.

1. They do not need to be rebuilt frequently

2. They are streetable (This is the way Jerome designed them)

3. They are capable of handling up to 1200lbs (I know because Rob and I tested them) and Lex (US Distributor, rebuilder, and a very smart guy says they can.)

If a guy buys a car for 50K, Motons at $3500 is not going to break his bank account. When a Club Sport comes out for my Z06 I will buy them. When I get a C6 Z06, I will buy them. They are that good.
In the case of the MINI, its not 50k, but then again 25k isn't exactly cheap either.
