Bilstein B16 Rear Bump Stop?

Just picked up a set of Bilstein B16s (PSS10) coil-overs because my ST.X's were shot. I'm going to be doing the install this weekend and I just read through the pretty abbreviated instructions to make sure I had all the parts I need as I'm swapping out everything in there. I already have the front and rear OEM bushing to be replaced and the instructions say to not use the stock bump stop in the fronts because the coil-overs have a built in bump stop (I assume underneath the cover). They are very vague about the rear bump stop though and I'm curious if anyone knows what the story is there? Should I use the OEM bump stop on the rears?

Thanks!

Quick shout out to this site btw: https://throtl.com/products/bilstein...rfor-48-153720
I was having a hell of a time getting anyone to be upfront about stock, because as you guys all know there doesn't seem to be any coil-overs in stock anywhere right now. These guys were super helpful, gave me a discount and offer veteran discounts as well. Seems to be a stand up company. The shipping from San Diego to Connecticut kinda stunk when I have FCP Euro in my backyard, but no local pickup there right now because of COVID and they don't really carry aftermarket.

The fronts are inverted, so no external bump stops needed there. Looking at pictures, the rears also look inverted, so I would assume no bump stops needed there either!

Thanks so much! That's what I assumed but I don't want to damage anything of have to disassemble and reassemble again.

I have been giving this some thought and I realize I have reached the end of my suspension knowledge so I’m looking for some education: what do you mean by the struts are “inverted?”

Thanks! I’m thankful for the collective knowledge we all have here.

Usually, the shock is mounted with the chamber on the bottom, and the acting rod pointing upwards toward the strut mount. In an inverted design, the chamber is towards the strut mount, and the acting rod goes downward. In an inverted design, there is more rigidity around the acting rod to reduce side loading. Ultimately, it’s a stiffer design, but can be more costly to manufacture.

I have seen these shocks in person and they are really nice, we have in studio pictures so you can use our site for actual pictures most of the time. Build quality on most of Bilstein and KWs are very close to ohlins.

Being able to adjust dampening on the fly and being easy to access is huge.

When you first put them in set them in the middle on clicks and then drive it. Dampen the rear out more if you want a smoother ride, thats what's i did on my coilovers.

I wish I could have gone with the B16s, they are VERY nice. I have the B14s, and I am not disappointed, just wish I could have splurged for the damping adjustments.

Have them installed but motor is still pulled. Been on the road for work and now on vacation so can't complain, but really excited to get back on my build in short order.

I've got the height about two thirds the way up and will see where that lands on on ride height, to get started.
