Recommendation for Rear Yellow Koni Settings Stock Springs

What is a good balance for the rear? 2013 JCW stock springs with stock sway. The fronts are easily adjustable, however the back are the pain to adjust once installed.

Car will be both an autocross and occasional street driving.

I was thinking just set it at 50% stiffness.
Thoughts? Experiences?

Thanks

M

Sounds good for ATX and occasional street.
Would probably go for 25-33% if you were
doing street and occasional ATX instead.

The wife and I ran a H Street mini nationally in 17 and 18. I put mine on 1/2 but it really needed a touch more. If you run them full still it will get very bouncy on the street. I really suggest the largest rear sway bar you can get. It will not effect ride on the street and will make the car way more neutral for autocross. We ran our hotchkis on middle setting some people like full stiff but I tested it and the only difference I could tell on my car is the rear wheel came of the ground quicker. There is 2 different sizes of hotchkis sway bars I will try and find the part number and post it for you.

That would be great.!

I think there two styles, a hollow and solid bar. Is that correct?

Also, the top mount on the rear shock will not slip over the shock. It looks like i need to make the hole bigger. Is that normal?

It took me a little bit. Glad I did not erase the text of a friend that I helped him set up his mini. Hotchkis 22810r its 25mm. I also found where I told him 1 turn off of full stiff on rear koni's. That will probably be a better setting as he has never complained about handling. If your concerned about being a little stiff 1/2 will be adequate. Are you on sport springs or JCW springs (they are red)?

yes the bushing on the rear upper mount has to be drilled larger. The metal sleeve will slide out of the bushings to make it easier. That whole upper mount comes apart. I'm not 100 percent sure on the solid vs hollow but it seems like they had a 25mm hollow one for the older mini and they don't make anymore.
