R56 - Installing Wheel Spacers

After reading a lot here, I'm in the way of installing 15mm wheel spacers.
I was thinking in 10mm but there is not option in anodized 4x100 56.1 14x1.25 on the web.

I like the wheel spacers on ECS Tuning (15mm) and I need to buy:

- 4 wheel spacers
- 12 new black bolts (+15mm)
- 4 new black locking bolts (+15)

The problem is that the new bolt size should be 43mm (28mm + 15mm) and I can't find the same size for bolts and locking bolts:

Bolts in 43mm (perfect)
Locking in 45mm size (no 43mm option, 38, 45 & 47 are the closest sizes).

Is there any problem in using larger locking bolts with shorter bolts?
Note that I'm not using any under the correct size (43mm)

Any link to check alternatives for 10mm anodized wheels spacer with bolts and locking for my R56?

Any comment will be very apreciated

I can help you. You should be fine with the slight extra length bolt since they only go in an extra 2mm. Most people run a 8 or 15mm spacers. I have OEM 18" wheels on my MINI and flush is 20mm. Some people dependent on the wheel will run a little inward at 15mm. Unless you have an aftermarket wheel the requires just 10mm to get flush then you might need that. One of the reasons we dont carry 10mm on the MINI 4x100 hub wheel is that there is not enough of the center bore protruding with a 10mm spacer set flat and its too thin to make a cuff on that design so your wheel will be hub centric, so when it mounts and to be safe.

Talked about here a little.

ECS, thank you for your help and time.
Yes, I could see that 10mm is not the perfect option because the hub centric, then I believe 15mm is the best alternative (8mm is too small).
I'm running aftermarket wheels 17x7 ET45.
I still need to take the measurement on front and rear wheels to confirm it but I'm sure 20mm is too much and 8mm is too small.

Regarding the locking bolts, my question was if the extra 2mm could be "screwed" on the wheel "holes" without problem or it will stop 2mm before the 43mm bolts (in this case the locking bolt head wouldn't be tightening the wheel)

You are welcome. It will screw into the hole and should be fine the extra 2mm will protrude out the back on the hub itself and there is room there for an extension. Now going something like 10mm or 15mm protruding out the back of the hub towards the mount on the trailing arm or axle carrier might hit the attachment bolts going from the trailing arm/axle carrier to the wheel bearing mount itself.

Totally clear.
Thank you again.

One more question.
Actually I'm using plastic hub centric rings.

Does it make sense use it under the spacer to remove the touch between metals and ensure that everything is fully adjusted?

If you have aftermarket wheels with hubcentric rings you will use those on the outside. They will fit on the spacer to the aftermarket wheel connection.

Yes, but my question is if it makes sense to use another set of hub centric rings under the spacers (2 rings per wheel)
The hub centric rings on the wheels will not be removed

Ok, understand what you are saying.

Nope, as the spacers we sell are hub centric to the MINI hubs.

If you are tracking this car I speak from experience in telling you to ditch the plastic rings and get metal ones--they WILL melt onto the hub and will cause you grief.

If you're not, never mind

No! I'm not tracking the car, but I was thinking on uninstalling/reinstalling the spacers and checking the plastic rings in each wheels alignment (6K miles).

Thank you for the advice!
