Eibach 5702.711 Pro-Street-S Coil-Over System

Saving for Rear arms, IE Camber plates and a set of coilvoers. I am stuck between the ST and KW v1. I'm in the suspension business (HD truck) and have an account with Eibach and saw they make these. Anyone have any feedback? I'm sure i could get them for a song on my personal car but would rather go KW if they're known to be way better or the Eibachs have issues.

Have you checked out ST's new coilover? It is similar to the KW V2 with the addition of camber plates. Right about the same price as the Eibach's but you gain a bit more.

Interesting, i have not. I'm all for the inclusion of camber plates but don't really want adjust ability... I much prefer to let the manufacturer pre-set Compression/Rebound valving so green-horns like me don't have the ability to screw up the damnping. The standard ST with Camber plates will be my likely choice. I just love the KW-V1, always have. Ran the Eibach Pros on my STI and loved them after corner balancing and adding sways but i know you can't compare two different products like that.

You know your stuff! That's good. I have a few customers floating around here that have purchased the standard ST coilovers with the Eibach camber plates with great success. Another great option. You can do the same thing with the V1 coilovers as well. Let me know if I can answer any technical questions for you.

Do you recommend Camber plates with the front coilovers if your'e only going to drop an inch? I am doing rear arms for sure to dial in the rear camber and probably a 19MM solid or 22MM hollow sway but am really looking for a mild drop (1"-1.5") and people are throwing me for a loop with these: "Must run adjustable camber plates" "Fixed camber plates (IE) are the only way to go" "No need for camber plates". Everyone speaks with authority but seems to have a different opinion. IE puts on their website "DO NOT RUN IN LOWERED APPLICATIONS" and it's all people recommend for lowered applications. lol

Too much info for a suspension expert to make sense of (albeit, i know HD live axle trucks like the back of my hand but many of the same generic principles apply). Also, I heard a rumor, well not really it is in another thread, that you're doing the ST coilovers for $870 shipped or something?

The original ST coilovers are designed to use factory top mounts. Meaning you can stay within range and get the best performance without fancy top mounts/camber plates.

Considering you are doing sway bars, rear control arms you might as well do the camber plates as well. In all honesty you might as well get a coilover that have some adjustment on the rebound.

You are correct about most have different opinions. I feel if you plan on auto crossing the car then yea all those things on your list help out with better times and of course handling. If you are just looking for a 1" drop and some better handling then coilovers alone will do the job.

Keep in mind that Mini's with certain OE wheels need wheel spacers.

I'm able to offer a little insight to the question,

The Pro-Street-S and the V1's fall into the same category when it comes to use and performance. They are both non adjustable with rates and dampers valved for an increase in performance while also keeping street comfort and ride height adjust ability in mind. The focus should be on quality of materials, as well as quality and ease of service of product.

Unfortunately 5702.711 has been discontinued. At this time Eibach doesn't offer any coilover solutions for the first gen's. I'm not recommending you cross platform kits, but there is a full line of coilovers for the second generation (07-13) vehicles. This includes the Pro-Street-S, Multi-Pro R1 (single adjustable) and Multi-Pro R2 (double adjustable)

Any way you go, be sure to support the vendors!

Is anyone still hear? I'm looking for coilovers for my 2014 clubmqn s. I've been comparing ST XTA's and KW V2's. But I've read that they both need spacers. So I'm looking into the R1's and want to know if they need spacers also. Any reviews you might have would be great to.
