ksport RR..?

I'm lookin to buy coilovers for my r53 in the next week or two, has anyone had any experience with ksport road race coilovers? They seem to be the most aggressive rates I can find. The car is driven very hard very often on the local mountain roads, and will see track time. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

14k/14k rates? If you're not running hoosiers and your car isn't caged then those spring rates are moronic. As in you would have more grip with lower rates.

A friend of mine had stiffer rates on his eg hatch, and he never had grip issues? What would you recommend?

The civic doesn't have struts and the motion ratios are completely different. 14 kg/mm on that car does not = 14k on a Mini.

What kind of tires and what size do you run?

205/45r17 conti pro contact right now, gonna move to a DW or a direzza. This will be my first car on coilovers, so trying to figure it out. My friends e30 will shortly be on 10k/13k, trying to find the most aggressive option I can.

Yeah 14k is much too stiff for those tires.

I'd be looking at half that. It would put you pretty close to the "wheel rate" of an EG civic with 14k rates (off the top of my head).

For what it's worth, I don't really like K Sport at all. I'm not a fan of BC Racing either but I would prefer them or Fortune Auto.

Ksport is a good brand and since they are in the US if they do fail your not shipping a broken coilovers to Germany or the UK. I like that they fixed the issue a lot of aftermarket coilovers have and that's the spring moving in the bucket making odd noises.
