I am getting an import shop to readjust preload and ride height. I don't feel like messing with it myself, so I am letting an import shop take care of it for $100 and 1.5 hrs of my time.

I have already seen this video multiple times. Even though I did not say or specify in my post what I am looking for, I can say that I would like ppl to say what they have set their COs at for street use only purposes. This dude just said that 4mm is good for a street or track setup. He does not say this is factory, this is the standard setting for street use.

The video is made by BC Racing and it seems to me they are saying the "standard" across the board is 4mm.
However, the more preload you dial in the less potential for overall travel you have. Travel is definitely something you want to maximize on the street to allow for uneven road surfaces. Therefor I would guess you would want the absolute minimum preload, which is what I have (for different reasons). Probably only equates to 1 or 2mm, really just as little as you need to avoid the springs binding.

Remember that preload also has a relation with dropout and on the street you need some sprung dropout.
preload is also used for corner balancing ... is the shop doing an alignment (front and rear) and are you corner balancing? if you have a passenger in the car 1/2 the time remember to tell them that .
Your preload is also a factor in alignment .
Bottom line, as I said earlier . it is always a compromise of settings.
