Sorry for the delayed reply. Getting ready to move from Florida to DC at beginning of the year.

I still seem to get a higher percentage of comments when parking it as opposed to before it was lifted. People will stop and ask about what tyoe of MINI it is, about the All Wheel Drive, etc.

I can't say enough about swapping out the tires, getting rid of the run flats has made the ride so much better. On rough roads the handling is better because at speed the jarring of the run flats made it unbearable.

Yes and the guys at OxSpeed took my Countryman and the new wheels and tires I had shipped from TireRack to a local tire shop for mounting and alignment after installing the lift.

Will be getting tires rotated this month, before I make a couple long drives bewteen Florida ad DC in the coming months. Will get tire wear and alignment issues checked out and see how the Pirelli Scorpions are holding up.

Hey MiniMaul;

I just purchased a 2'' lift kit with BMW sway bar drop links from Helix13mini. I was just curious if you ended up having tire wear or alignment issues as stated in your last post. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks, Tiger

1in Lift in Rear

I have some 19x8.5 et40 rims that rub just slightly in the back and was looking to lift the rear about an inch to get the clearance I need. Has anybody found a kit that isn't 2 inches?

I think a 1 inch lift in the back will give it a nice aggressive look and the clearance I need with my offset wheels, but I can't seem to find a good solution.

Updates? Long term reviews?

Are there any other lift kits being offered or other methods or higher than 2"?

I'd also be interested in updates from anyone who's been running with theirs lifted for a while.

What tire and wheel package do you have now?

Hi guys,

I'm running 245 45 18 on a Paceman with no clearance issues and my Speedo is dead on now, but that is the maximum width on stock 18" rims.

All the lift projects looks awesome guys!

Had a quick question, I wanna do this on my paceman. But it's front wheels drive, not the ALL4. How do you think this 2" lift change the drive? It seems like most of you have ALL4...

Thanks for any input!
Chris

Just getting back on line after quite a while.

BF...Great looking MINI!

WWT...I have over 20,000 miles on the tires that went on same time as the list and no wear issues with routine rotations.

Also, put some new winter tires on the original OEM 18" rims and been getting thru these crazy winter storms just fine.

No rattles or issues with suspension with the lift over the same time/mileage. Looking to add a bigger rear sway bar this spring and front strut tower brace to try and tame the bit of the roll and push that going up instead of down has created.

Here is the latest pic.

Please keep posting photos of any of your lifted MINIs!

Wish I had a good answer for you but BF that posted the yellow MCS above would be a 2 wheel drive and may have some feedback for you.

Post back what you learn and what you decide.

Running 2 in lift from cooper crap with 235/55-18 tires.
No rubbing. Had to get 20mm spacer though.

I give mini maul. Total credit for the roof rack idea. I just tweaked it a little to my liking.

Roof rack

It's the mini OEM roof rack bars powder coated gloss black to match the top.

The roof basket is from rage power sports got it for like 160 buck.
http://www.ragepowersports.com/cargo...-cargo-basket/

The lights I ordered from amazon and installed my self.

If you give me a. Couple mins I'll take pictures of the wiring and set up.

Wiring

So I ran the wires inside the roof basket to get a clean look.

Then made a small connection on the side of the roof rack. (Super small and easy to disconnect if I wanted to take the basket off.

Ran the wires under the headliner.

To this switch. (Main power from batter so the lights would work even if the cars off. )

On a side note I washed my car yesterday and there were no leaks. ( that's why I haven't put the headliner completely back together. )

How'd your run power to those lights on the rack?? That's cool BTW.

20mm spacers all the way around with that setup ?

I was talking to my service advisor about this lift. My CM only has 4000km on it now. He said to wait. Mini doesn't take kindly to covering suspension issues if you've put on non-factory parts that change the geometry.

Setup

tominizer- yes they are 20mm spacer all way around. No rubbing with the tire and wheel setup. (That I have seen)
Only problem that I have is when jacking the car up the rear wheel touches the fender. But everything goes back to normal once the car is down.
