Versus calling up a local H&R distributor to obtain some correct instructions?
There's a few members who have installed H&R cup kits; do a quick search and ask your questions to those members.

So then what you are thinking is that maybe the factory bump stops are what's holding the car's height? You can check that visually I think.
Anyway, it's common to cut the factory bump stops about in half when installing lowering springs, so that is probably what I would have done in this case also, if not just bought some good aftermarket ones.

I checked with H&R. They say to retain the stock bumpstops. I dropped the rears again and everything seems fine. I guess I should have considered the reviews on this kit...all i found was that the sport kit is "too low". I was hoping "too low" would be low enough (close the wheel gap) for me on my daily driver without buying coils.

the instructions in the kit are drawings. in searching here and through google all i find are other people looking for better instructions. i was actually "hoping" i did something wrong but it appears the drop of his kit isnt nearly as drastic as most seem to make it out to be

I installed the cup kit on a friends car. It wasnt a drastic drop but it was mild. You should definitely be able to see a difference. Pics?

k-huevo has a good spring/shock installation write-up. It's on this site or you can google his name for it.

While searching for myself, I came across a few people asking for before and after pics of this kit installed. This is a brand new Sport Cup Kit on my 09 MCS.

rear before

after

With the black wheels I need better light to take a final overview picture but the car def has a rake to it. After reading many reviews that this kit is "too low" I would def beg to differ. As a daily driver I am happy with the front but would like to see the rear lower. I went for a short ride to be sure everything feels and sounds fine but didnt really drive the car to hard so I dont have a performance review yet. Waiting till I get it aligned in the next few days.

Hmm I also have the hr cup kit touring on my clubman and I had a significant drop. I put 17" enkie nt03 wheels with 215/45 and i have no gap at all. At that time I feel its too low already. See my gallery for pictures.

Yours looks good and thats the "touring" kit...Our wheel/tire size I the same other than the I have 205's. Out of curiosity I am going to check the part numbers on the springs

all aligned. car rides really nice at a medium setting and def handles nicely in the corners. in my opinion is the "sport" kit too low? NO. if the *** end sat an inch lower i would say it was perfect. hoping the rear breaks in a little and loses the rake

I just swapped out my eibach pro springs to install the sport cup kit hoping for a lower stance. The fronts are definitely lower, but the backs seem higher than eibach springs. I was disappointed since I thought it would be a big difference from the eibach's 1.4 to the cup's 2" drop.
