Recommend a very aggressive setup

Hello all. I'm looking for an aggressive setup for my car. This car will be used for weekend canyon carving and possibly some track time. What front and rear sway bar would you suggest? What about x braces? Again, this doesn't need to have any consideration for daily driving comfort. Stiff bushings or motor mounts?

Thanks!

The general concensus: 19 or 22mm rear bar, personally i use a 19, and find it perfect. stock front bar, or justa cooper non-sport front bar for street/autoX use (a stiffer front bar only benefits you at high speeds, such as on a dedicated track race car, otherwise it induces understeer). X-braces are supposed to make a fairly noticeable increase in stiffness. powerflex bushings all the way throughout. bsh lower motor mount, tsw passenger side upper mount, powerflex for the rest of the bushings. you might consider the wmw race bushings, ive been looking into these. coilovers, adjustable endlinks, adjustable upper and lower rear control arms, roll center adjusters. this is pretty much as far as you're going to get into the suspension without having to start getting custom parts made. This should make a big increase in handling. hope this helped somewhat.

Pretty much what luseboy said.
I would add Front Adj Camber Plates to the list.

Thanks all. I'm looking at Megan coilovers with the built in camber plates. This is very helpful.

If using camber plates in the front, a 19 or 20mm rear sway bar should be adequate.

test safely

it's possible to get oversteer with this combination

tire pressures might matter when all is said and done

just sayin'

neutral is a blast though - but find it carefully is all

with good wheels/tires you should be over 1.1 g in transition

cheers,

Charlie

Another thing, Cabrio front braces. The general consensus is they provide minimal(if any) increase in front end stiffness. But they cost about $30 and bolt on in minutes.

If you are going to AutoX/race an LSD will give major difference.(while it is not a suspension item. It is one of the biggest Benefits when trying to improve your speed out of corners.

oh ya i forgot the camber plates. lol. also, i run 15" wheels, and they're the most agressive. be ready to scrape if you go this route. im at stock height and i still do. just gives me an excuse to dump it... im gonna be scraping anyways lol

An aggressive setup you want is mainly going to depend on your budget.

But there are a few MUST Do items I would start with. Front control arm bushings wear out and will last much longer.
Also a rear sway bar, no matter what setup you do the sway bar will make the biggest improvement.
Then a set of hsport rear camber links, that way when you do lower it you can get that camber and alignment dialed in.
