Is this a normal behaviour for a coilover (BC Racing)

Hi all,

Based on the attached photo, my ride getting bouncier each time I turn to B direction (hard) which supposed to make the ride harder but instead it become bouncier even I turn to the max, super bouncy . If I turn to A direction (soft) than I get less bouncy ride.

I'm using BC Racing on my 2004 ONE, is this behaviour normal? Sorry newbie here, first time on coilover. Please advice

Thank you very much

Hard settings can be bouncy depending on the spring rates and valving.

How low is your car?

It really shouldn't be getting bouncy at all... Blown struts bounce (or poor quality valving for too-stiff springs).

My car is not lower that much as I hate scraping the bottom. Ya it so bouncy make it very difficult to drive.

it may become bouncy because that is a one way adjustment (most likely), so it is only controling the "hardness" of the rebound OR compression. So when it is getting less bouncy thats because it better matched the valving for the other value that is constant. The problem is that BC (I've had them on other cars, friends of mine run them) does a poor job MATCHING the spring rates to the valving.

I recommend just set it where it controls the spring best and pull the keys out for good.
