Want to go back 2 stock.Will pre 02/03 shocks/struts work w/ H&R Lowering Springs?

I want to achieve a softer ride. There is not much out there for the first three months of production in 2002. Any suggestions. I want to stay lowered.

Not sure if this is exactly what you're asking, but my car is production 03/2002, and I've had H&R springs on stock shocks/struts until they worn out about 2 months ago...

How many miles did you get out of your stock suspension with the lowering springs? How was the ride?

My koni setup is not good. The front struts needed to be drilled out, cut and bolted in from the bottom like a cartridge style, making them noisy and harsh.

Wow... I put H&R springs on my stock struts in 2003. I got about 160K miles out of the set-up. The springs are still in good condition, but the struts are worn out...

Since I had to replace the struts anyways, I figured I'd upgrade to coilovers instead. So that's what I did.

The ride was great up until recently, when the struts became extremely stiff and harsh. The ride then became noisy and uncomfortable. But for the mileage I had put on them, I can't complain. hehe.

Hope this helps,
Leo.

Just ordered stock front struts and the Hotchkis M7 springs. Should be better than that crazy modified koni strut setup. I have also never been impressed with H&R. I want a softer ride, I must be getting old!
