Suspension H&R Coilover Instructions anywhere?
H&R Coilover Instructions anywhere?
There are quite a few threads about installing coilovers, specifically I have noted Cor Blmy's comprehensive post about his BC installation. Thanks for that, it will be a good guide. I have been trying to find a similar thread for the H&R RSS coilovers and a Cabrio, but have been unsuccessful.
Is anyone aware of such a write up?
I have purchased a set of these, and some Helix camber plates and looking for all the help I can get before I think about putting them on.
thanks!

Went ahead with installation, no problems!
After doing as much research as I could on both coilovers and camber plates, both on this forum and others, a friend and I undertook the installation of H&R RSS coilovers and Helix camber plates on Phil, my 2005 MCSC-JCW with sport suspension.
The entire project took us about 5 hours, and now that we know what we are doing,we could do it in about 3.5.
I have not had the car aligned yet, but I have no rubbing issues to report, and none of the funky noises I have heard about either.

Before we started

After
We had quite a drop and it took a bit of adjusting to get it close to even all the way around. No rubbing whatsovever.
Useful tips:
Cor Blmy's BC coilover review. After my friend spent 30 minutes trying to remove the front shock, I reminded him that we had seen the spring compressed using a jack and a 2X4 and the spring dropped out. Sure enough, 5 minutes later (we had to cut a piece of 2x4) the unit came right out!

This is the right rear before we started to do anywork. (Randy Webb sway bar).

To remove the rear, it involved a twisting motion to navigate the top of the shock around the brake lines and sway bar, and then pull to the inside.

We found a pipe wrench useful to adjust the shock before we put it on. Since the adjustments are not easy to get to on the rear, with the wheels on, this can be a great time saver, if you can get it close to where you may want to start.

The left rear after installation (but not adjusted quite yet).
We got distracted and did not take many pictures during the installation of the fronts, but as I said, the 2X4 worked magic!
I will have it aligned tomorrow, but in driving it around the neighborhood (and the local school parking lot) it is problem-free so far. No noise, clunking or other strangeness. It is lower. I now have to exit my pretty flat driveway at an angle. It measures about 24-inches from the ground to the top of the wheel well.
By the way, those are 17-inch OZ Forgiattas (now discontinued) with Bridgestone RE01r 205/45-17 tires. That is my daily driver setup.
I autocross on 16-inch Motegi Traklites. Looking to replace the 215-45-16 Falken 615s I run on those.
