Bushings that give some - camber.

I can't seem to locate the old thread, but it is about some sort of aftermarket bushings that give some negative camber.

Anyone remember this product?

Thanks.

Sorry, not camber plates.

The items i'm trying to find are actual PU bushings that apprently give negative camber when installed.

Bavarian Autosport had front control arm bushings that add caster.

The Alta PSRS allows increased caster.

Don't know of any bushing that affects the camber as the bushing is not in a position to change it.

...although adding does caster give more negative camber on the outside wheel
(and less on the inside) as you turn the steering wheel to one side or the other.

The PSRS might be exactly what you want!

Adds additional caster angle, prevents dynamic alignment changes on uneven pavement (especially when combined with plus sized wheels and tires), and makes the steering output far more precise vs. the input from you.

PLEASE let me know if you have any questions that I can answer! Thanks!

Hi Adam,
I've read up on the PSRS and those that have had it installed have mentioned that there is an increase in NVH.

I do love the idea behind it but not enuff to deal with the increasd NVH.

Thanks anyway.

Run some nice fixed camber plates, no nvh increases, HUGE difference in handling.

Thanks for the followup. There is some give and take. The handling improvement is a HUGE give. The NVH increase is a far smaller take. I do 100% understand your concern. The thing is the rubber bushing back there is very compliant and strengthening it is key to improving that steering response.

You might make a post in your local area to see if someone else has it installed so you can take a ride to see what you think. I only notice it on very uneven pavement, and not in other situations.

Thanks again!

they still can increase NVH as well as you remove the rubber isolator at the top of the strut. I agree they help make other alignment changes (we carry several options here too) and are a valuable tool in suspension setup. But I would be concerned (depending on the sensitivity of the OP) if he would have the same issue with them too?

Thanks again! BTW: been a while since we chatted! How r things? Shoot me a PM!

That's no BS. Even on a newer mini you WILL notice a definite difference in steering precision.

Incorrect if referring to the Ireland fixed plates - they have an OEM-style upper mount. And are SILENT.

Sorry I should have clarified SOME can increase NVH, not all. (Which is what I was trying to say )

Thanks for the info!

But doesn't IE camber plates increase the ride height?

And the PSRS is really a fairly quiet mod. Only complaints are when the car is travlelling slow and across small bumps like the road reflectors or expansion joints.

But that's not ideal without coils.

You'll never notice.

Do you notice when your ride height changes when you install new tires? Going from a tire worn to 4/32" to a new tire with 10/32" of tread raises the car by about the same amount.

Exactly. Unless the car is ALREADY lowered on coils and you're one of those people who tunes wheel gap to the nearest mm, the plates are not gonna raise it a significant amount.

Still isn't that bothersome. Only thing I ever notice is a bit of noise from the dash when I run over a small bump.
