Koni Yellows

Are they available for the R56 yet??

Are there any other adjustable shocks/struts available for the R56 instead?

Yes they are! I have already placed an order for them. I've had the eibach springs on for several months now with the stock shocks and it is a bouncy ride...can't wait to get the Konis on. I was trying to hold out for Bilsteins instead but couldn't wait any longer.

I ordered them from MJM Autohaus http://mjmautohaus.com/. They should be in stock next week or so. They also carry neuspeed's line of stuff specifically for the R56. doesn't seem like they have it up on their site so just give them a call.

That's very exciting!

I'm really begin to dislike the ride my Mach V springs + stock shocks give. I have some friends that won't even ride in the car with me cuz its so uncomfortable!

I had Koni yellows on my R53 and loved them, so I think I'll have to get me a set of the R56 version!

Koni Yellows and old m7 Springs on my R50. I def recommend them to anyone who wants a nice, reasonably priced handling upgrade.

Odd review. Testing a performance shock for highway driving.
FWIW we just got an 05 S (10,000 miles) with a set of yellows, set on medium front and rear. The road feel is great. Superior to our 08 stock (soon to be M7 cos). Not enough driving to offer a review, but initial impression is very favorable.

Stock.
I had an 06 non S that I had FSDs and stock springs on as well. To be fair, it also had a big rear bar and adj camber plates, and it was great for street, track days and autox schools. I tried lowering springs, but hated them.
Stock springs with a performance oriented shock is a very under rated setup IMHO. However, if the "low life" is for you, COs may be the answer. I am going to try COs on my 08. Why? Dunno, jus cuz.

Aren't Koni Yellows designed to work with lowering springs though? Mine worked great with my H-Sport springs on my R53.

I think they are designed so they can work with lowering springs. They also work with stock springs. We bought the 05 from an autoxer, so no lowering springs allowed.
My lowering springs experience is based on one set of springs and stock shocks. I'm sure other setups would be fine.

I have the same setup and same opinion. Not that I didn't ask for the stiffer feel when I got the Mach V's, and I am very happy with them. My wife of 30 years isn't saying anything specific, but she yells OUCH whenever we bang into a bump.

I PM'd the specific question about Mach V springs with a Koni FSD setup and the guys there hadn't seen that setup so couldn't comment. I'm also leaning very strongly to getting the Koni yellows. If you get them before I do, please post of your experience, and I'll do likewise. I don't comment much here but I do lurk religiously

Thanks!
