Installation questions

A local car shop is having a store wide 20% off sale so I am considering getting some springs while the deal is there. My friend and his dad have done suspension before so they are offering to help me. I can unbolt the front springs no problem, however the rear ones im confused with. My buddy informs me that I have to find the top of the support tower in the rear and unbolt the 3 bolts there. However I cant find it. I looked from the underside and saw 3 bolts on the outside. Do I just undo those or what is the deal?

there are only 2 bolts to undo the rear dampers. Simply un-bolt the bottom of the damper from the "hub carrier" for lack of a better thing to call it... and then unbolt the two bolts that connect the top of the strut hat to the chassis... it will fall right out.

There are 2 bolts for the top & 1 for the bottom for the rear for a total of 3.By far out of all the cars I have lowered the mini is super easy.

Awesome, so I don't have to pull half of my interior our to get to it. Its all from the outside.

I ordered the springs yesterday, they should drop it about 30mm (just over an inch)

Nope,no pulling anything from the inside of the car to do a spring swap.Well I take that back, you will have to pull your hatch & hood release.lol

Dropping it is easy, getting the camber right and not wearing out every new tire you put on it within 5k miles is another can of worms.

... aww damn, have to open my doors. Seems like too much effort

I have read around and the forums tell me that I have a bit of play in my stock control arms (being an 06 model). Will adjusting that help much?

Also I haven't found the instructions for the spring swap on the forums. Anyone know where they are hiding
