Can you match stock sport springs with non-sport shocks?

I plan to put the Mach V springs and a 22mm rear sway bar on my car and thought I would put my stock sport suspension springs and rear sway for sale here at a relatively cheap price to offset costs and hopefully help someone upgrade their base suspension on the cheap. I have received a few questions about whether or not you can use the sport springs with base shocks.

I have stated to this point that they are not "matched" because the sport suspension upgrade includes different springs, shocks and sway than the base suspension parts. Just being open about it. However, I was thinking this through and thought maybe it wouldn't be bad to match the sport springs with base shocks. The sport springs don't lower the car any significant amount. Certainly nothing like the amount the Mach V springs lower the car and you don't need to change the sport shocks with Mach V or Eibach. So why couldn't you match the base shocks with sport springs. it seems like it would be a lesser version of the Mach V swap. No?

Question: Are the base shocks good enough to be paired with the sport springs?

I want to be able to direct potential buyers to this thread, so helpful input would be appreciated.

How long? How is it working out for you? That would be even further change than I am proposing because the stock sport suspension springs don't really lower the car at all.

ive had them for a week now, and over 100 miles. The ride is obviously harsher but i really like it. Im not sure if its the springs or the 19mm H&R rsb but the handling is flat out amazing.
Putting the sport suspension springs on the non sport shocks is probably not a big deal. and you are correct, the SS springs do not lower the car at all.
