I dunno, call me nuts.
The only way to get this image out of my head is with a bullet...

a bullet antenna that is! Make that next one extra sharp and smooth, Palo! I recommend the diamond tip bit, minimum cut depth, and slow cut speed for minimal machine lines.... oh wait, your the artist, do your thing... while drinking.

The unfortunate and sad thing, of course, is that noobs will continue to get sucked into dropping their hard earned dollars on this "elite" merch without the benefit of experiencing the sordid history that seems to continuously unfold on NAM. I imagine a lot of folks use this site mostly as a conduit to the vendor links and don't necessarily peruse the informational threads that would steer them clear of bad decisions. I'm not excusing them for doing insufficient research, but it's easy to see how new MINI owners might have a sense of confidence in the vendors accessible here by the mere fact of their presence.

Then they might meekly post a pic or two of their new PU acquisition in an attempt to gain acceptance into the NAM fraternity, only to be lambasted with a barrage of virtual tomatoes from the more experienced ilk for their stupidity. They're not likely to be around these pages much after that, I fear...

Kinda makes you wonder if other NAM vendors lose business do to bad experience with one.

Even though you should research, we all know there are folks who dont until it's too late.

i think he got the idea already, he must have the adjustable power bands on his pully, and i think his hood scoop. I mean, 170% more air? as in 270% of what it is now, i mean, thats amazing, considering its the same size hole its going threw! hahahaha. Well come to think of it, its probably on the pully, but i think he has the bar of boost on the scoop....

Did anyone see the nitrogen safe aircraft aluminum valve stems that allow you to use "85% less" counter weight on your tires?

Palo's verbatim description reads:

"If you need to run a 5m spacer, this is the finest available..... Manufactured from aircraft grade aluminum, meticulously engineered, with a durability and strength that leaves the others behind. Always in stock and ready to ship. Use the Uber Long tuner lug above for complete certainty you have the best performance components available anywhere in the world."

I was shocked because I have used these exact same spacers before (ezAccessory.com):

These things go like hotcakes for $29.89 shipped. Palo's advertising is very misleading here. The same place also sells "Tuner Lugs" that seemed strikingly similar to mine:

Again, Palo's description:

"
THE WORLDS FINEST QUALITY, Grade 10.3, which is Formula one track standard...An absolute essential for any true performance enthusiast. Know your exact torque poundage on each lug, resulting in perfect mating of the wheel to hub, needed for track or aggressive street performance. The needed UBER key makes your rims almost theft proof once installed. Will fit any rim but designed for high performance rim application."

And again, ezAccessory.com:

These can be had in a set of 16 for $39.89 shipped. I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon here, but I'm not happy - period.

Looking forward...
This guy's a tool. Enough said.

you can never be too careful with nitrogen*

* Nitrogen is the largest single constituent of the Earth's atmosphere (78.082% by volume of dry air, 75.3% by weight in dry air).

...if, in fact, you were referring to me (and this concerns every half-baked post-***** here):

My disdain for Palo bashing on this forum lead me into this purchase. Much of what I had read seemed greatly exaggerated - it is just really hard to swallow that a company would do this to itself - but I gave these disgruntled few the benefit of the doubt. After some thorough research, I realized that these same few had been defamed to the point that the forum administrators simply wouldn't listen anymore, nor would Palo, or their resellers. I thought it time for a new voice to emerge with a fresh perspective in this situation, and not having a full appreciation of the circumstances left me with only one course of action.

Money is not an issue, it's principle - period. The idea that this is permitted to continue simply disgusts me. I would gladly pay $200, $300, or more if it helped this community rid itself of these con artists. How about you? What steps would you be willing to commit to? Tossing out a lame remark based solely on your ignorance of the situation says everything I need to know. If you've nothing constructive to contribute to this cause, then craw back into your bubble.

WE ARE ATTEMPTING TO EFFECT AN END, ARE WE NOT?! IF I HAVE MISTAKEN EVERYONE'S INTENTIONS HERE, THEN PLEASE LET'S END THIS NOW! I ABSOLUTELY LOATHE THE IDEA OF WASTING MY TIME. HOWEVER, IF THIS IS GOING TO WORK, THEN EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET REAL HERE! ARE WE GOING TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN OR CONTINUE TO USE PALO AS A CONVENIENT BOOST TO OUR POST COUNT

Whew...

In any event, I feel as though we're running in place here, so I will be taking it upon myself to start a "BOYCOTT PALO UBER" thread. If it means getting banned, so be it. For those of you who've never even lain hands upon a "genuine" Palo Uber product, but insist upon clicking off pointless posts...shoot yourself.

Looking forward...
