H&R Springs Bottoming Out?

I installed a set of H&R springs this weekend along with a set of Alta lower rear control arms then had a four wheel alignment done. While driving to work this week through a construction area at about 60mph there are several places where the road changes material/height. Over these bumps I get a loud bang type noise. I'm getting the noise mostly from the front and depending on how I approach the transition I get it from both sides or only one. I also get this noise from the rear over potholes or small bumps if I can't avoid them. I'm guessing that I'm bottoming out and that this is not a good thing. Any comments? If I'm bottoming out is there anything I can do other than take a different road or go back to the stock springs?

I really like the ride, look and handling with the H&R's but will trade it all back if I am damaging the Mini.
