ARGH! wrong brakelines!

i ordered stainless brakelines from outmotoring for my March 04 MCS (brakelines for Apr 03-Dec 05), but they sent me brakelines for a 02-03!!! the fronts went in but the bolts in the rear don't!

i'm really ticked off because i'm from the Philippines and it took about a month of sea freight to get it here so i can save on shipping costs and to top it off, i have an important trackday soon

what should i expect in difference in brake feel IF i keep the front SS-lines on for the meantime and stock lines for the rear?

That bites, but especially in a FWD, most of the braking is done with the fronts anyway. The expansion of the rear lines shouldn't adversely affect your pedal feel.

No difference at all... I didn't notice a lick of difference between the OEM rubber lines and SS lines, actually. Now, on our 20 yr. old BMW track ****, yeah there was a pretty major difference when swapping them in - but that was because the OEM rubber lines were 20 years old.

IMHO, SS lines are over-rated (yes, we sell them, too) unless your rubber lines are just totally shot...

I have been told this before. I actually just swapped fluids from OEM to ATE super blue and called it good for now since I don't really track my car.

macky,
you'll be fine on the track with stainless steel lines only on the front.

It's good to see OutMotoring jumped into this series of posts. Hopefully, the angry post was made following contacting them without satisfaction.

We had not received any contact regarding this shipping error previous to this post by our customer. I saw it pop up and wanted to resolve it asap...

We do make errors as does everyone and we do our best to get them fixed when they do occur.
