I'm a newbie

Hi all,
So I've had my Mini Cooper (non-S) for about a year now and about the only mods I've done are cosmetic. Last month I installed a short ram air intake but that was a piece of cake, and I love the sound and throttle response now that I did that. But it has come that I just bought some bigger wheels and I recently drove an S model and I really love the crisp suspension. To most Cooper owners with high end suspension may think I'm silly but I really liked the stock S suspension a lot better than the stock on my non-S. So I want to buy the stock S suspension (anyone have a good price?) but I really don't know everything that I want and how to do it. If I buy some S springs and struts from someone is that all I need or do I need to buy other parts? And will it be a smooth exchange? Or will there be missing pieces? I know I have a lot of questions right now but I'm learning. Please give me your input and advice, Thanks

-Stefan

When I bought my '06 MCS, I switched the H-Sports from my '03 MC to the MCS and put the MCS springs into the MC. What a wise decision! My MC has never felt better. I asked a mechanic friend about that and he told me the earlier model springs sucked and that the MCS springs in the '05 and '06 had been redesigned. What a lucky break for me, AND I was able to give the OEM MC springs to someone who really needed and wanted them, as they would have just ended up getting pitched.

The springs are interchangeable, no problems. Also look at adding an adjustable rear sway bar. And if you really want to see a difference in ride and hanling get some Koni FSD stuts.
