Suspension Eibach springs
Eibach springs
Just did an Eibach lowering spring install on my MCS on tuesday.Went suprisingly well/easy between three guys and talking, it all went together in just over 3 hrs.Anyways, onto my question obviously i've read i should go get and alignment after. I do need one its pulling a bit to the right now.But i also have a slight shake under light acceleration and cruising around at a steady speed. Almost comparable to an unbalanced wheel(s). This wasnt here before with the stock suspension everything looks to be in the right places after jacking her back up and pulling the wheels off again...any suggestions? thanks!
How much did it lower the car? too much, and it can stress the CV joint, causing the problem. Mine did it on coilovers. Raised the car 1/3" of an inch, and it went away.
Known issue with lowering. Do a search, and you'll find tons of info.

yep, the old cv joint problem, wagnbat is right, just take a gander at the "wanted: aftermarket spring info" thread, lots of good info in there!

Get a alignment by someone that takes allignment seriously. I installed Tein S Springs and I got a allignment and my back tires still cupped.
I got screwed on the allignment so I just purchased Helix Rear Adjustable control arms and a new set of tires. My tires were RF and really used them for the trip to the dragon so I am not too upset about it.

ya i was more refering the the wobble than the negative camber but thanks for the feedback....crappy, people would sell something possibly knowing it was bad just to make a buck....went ahead and ordered some tsw springs, seems like they know what they're doing.
I have the Eibach Pro Kit springs 1" front 1.2" rear and no problems with vibration. Bought them new and had Les Schwab do my alignment.
Vibration could be caused by bad balancing. I did have some vibration when I first lowered the car but I had new wheels and rubber too. The balance fixed the vibration

make sure you seated the shock bodies correctly.
right after i put my eibachs on, i had a pull under accelleration. it turned out that one shock was sitting higher than the other. no problems in over 4 years after i fixed that.

i went ahead and put the stockies back on in the front and the vibration under acceleration went away theres now one at cruising about 45-60ish. ordered a set of tsw springs waiting on those and once i install those im gonna have the wheels balanced and an alignment done. i honestly think that it was just the springs being old and sagging it dropped quite a bit with the eibachs on alot actually....
installed my TSW springs this past sunday and upon post install test ride at one point i forgot i was trying to pay attention to the ride, because it was soo nice. better than OEM. the woderfully horrible south florida roads dont even bother it anymore....still have a slight steering wheel shimmy at about 50 ish. no more shake under acceleration. gonna get an alignment soon, have the wheels balanced too just to make sure and im hoping everything should be back to normal.
