Anything made to replace oil-filled engine damper?

The engine mount damper on my '05 has once again spilled its guts all over my engine compartment. This is one that was installed just last June after my original one gave up.

Is there anything made to replace this piece of crap?

I posted the following last year. You could be on the borderline for when a possibly improved mount may have come out. I'd say just have the dealer replace it and hope for the best.

Edit: the link doesn't work any more. Unfortunately Alldata now requires you to purchase their service for access to TSBs. It had been a free service for several years and it was good while it lasted.

Thanks rkw. I probably have an "old and unimproved" one. Because my dealer will not order parts without doing their own diagnosis (which would necessitate two 180 mile round trips and two days off work) I ordered the part myself ahead of time through their parts department. If they had gotten the RIGHT PART it might have been an improved one. Because they ordered the wrong part, they took a damper off a new car that they had on the lot. This was very nice of them. It's just unfortunate that it crapped out after only 10 months.

I'm in the same boat. Oil (and rather stuborn oil at that! ) all over the engine compartment.

So I take it there isn't an aftermarket part option available - right?

Either of the remote mount engine dampers available through this site (TSW or LOTF) should take some of the stress off of the stock damper. And they both improve shifting, as well.

Whoo hoo, I just joined the failed damper club!

I moved my car out of the garage and there was spooge on the ground, wtf over? Took a peak to see where the drip was coming from and worked my way up to the damper and there was the culprit.

I'm still under warranty so first thing Monday, I'm making a service appointment with my dealer.
