I've uploaded a video and I hope that you are able to hear what I hear. It sounds like a clatter from the engine when just idling. I also hear the Power-steering humming constantly, when do not turn the wheel and then when I do.


Any advice would be good...

P.S. I have looked at the other threads, and some suggest that it has something to do with the Flywheel, harmonic balancer..

well the noise definitely sounds like the dual mass flywheel. does it go away when you step on the clutch? if it does then you will wanna contact the dealer and schedule an appointment to replace the flywheel.

about the ps, does the pump run after you shut off the car, key off ign? if it does you prob have a bad pump shorted to ground. i hear the pumps run on these cars all the time so i'm not positive its faulty.

 

Not that I know of, I am sure I would certainly hear something eh? Just seems odd to me I guess.

But with the clatter I'm going to take it to the dealer tomorrow. And get them to check the Power Steering issue. I also get horrible gas mileage, maybe there is something else going on with the car.
