why the hell is my cooling fan still coming on? it's like 16 degrees out. i swear it never used to do this before i had my a/c fixed this summer.i never recall the cooling fan coming on in the cold weather like this before. not only once in awhile either . very frequently i might add.any ideas? or is this normal?

 

Do you have the A/C on to keep things from fogging up? The fan will run pretty much all the time if the A/C is on, even if it is blowing heat. Also, check the coolant level.

 

Mine kept cycling about every 10 seconds. Dealer explained that fan has two stages. Stage 1 was inoperative, so it caused stage 2(much loader than 1) to operate - which led me to notice the frequent operation. They replaced it under warranty - hope this helps!
