If I lower my window it gets dirty !
I had good results using window cleaner, a credit card and an old (clean sock). Put the sock on the credit card, spray it with window cleaner and roll the window down. Now rub the cloth back and forth down between the rubber and the window. When the sock gets dirty, move to a clean spot, and spray on more window cleaner. Keep going until no more junk is on the cloth.
Actually anything that cleans grease and doesn't hurt rubber should work.
The first time I did it there was a dramatic improvement but not 100%. I did it a second time and I am fairly sure it is all gone now.

I was having this problem too.
I figured out what mine was...
When I got the car it had ugly and illegal mirrored tint. The guys that did my new tint had to rip off the old tint. Then they scrapped and Windex'ed the old glue off the window. During that process some glue got on the felt on the inside the window.
I rolled down the window and rubbed a Windex soaked rag all over the felt and down inside the window best I could.
It still comes back in a few spots, but rarely. Every time I wash, I make sure I clean the felt with something with a little strength.

Thanks, john and rw - I'll bet that does the trick. I've noticed that it really does it bad whenever it's rained or I've washed the car - that makes sense. As soon as the fracking winter weather stops to any degree here I will try that. Oh heck, I'll do it tonight as soon as I get home from work!
Yay!
Yay!

Didn't somebody post a service bulletin on this one some point - I looked at mine and can't see how you'd be able to get anything in there at all. DH is considering taking the door apart to clean inside, but we don't know where we'd get the replacement clips after we break the originals getting the door panel off... I'm tempted to pay hundreds of dollars to the stealership to resolve this, especially with window-opening weather arriving. Sigh.

They are so distinctive and oh so fun to drive!
It might be something I'll have to do once a month.
