Will an 05 M45 Supercharger fit an 04?

Anyone know if an Eaton M45 supercharger from a 2005 Mini Cooper will direct fit on a 2004 Mini MCS...or was something changed??

If so anyone know the differences if any?
Thanks in advance
Jeff

And thank you Chainchoppers too...

Well realoem shows the same part number for both..I thought I had read they had done something to the 05-06 supercharger...must have been mistaken.

Thanks again

Supposedly the coating on the rotors is different in the 05-06 charger, which was said to be identical to a JCW charger in the JCW kit, save for the pulley size, but who knows. Point is, it will bolt up just fine.

They fit. I know, cuz I did it...traded my '06 stock supercharger for an '04 with a 15% pulley. I'm happy with what I received and see no big difference in performance at all.

How would you know the performance difference since the 06 was stock and the 04 had the 15% ?
The 05-06 version has coated vanes for a tighter tolerances hence more boost from the stocker.. You might have put the 15% on your 06 for the most performance.

I find the Pulley on my nicely working 04 SC really adds performance (nice whine too)...I was offered an 05, almost new SC for a good price and was thinking of getting it just to have around just in case. I think the guy is getting some sort of modded SC for his mini...dealer gets a fortune!

I Know....

Agreed, the MCS really screams with the 15% pulley w/ milltech catback!...If I ever blow mine, I could always put a pulley on the new one before installation...(would make it way easier) or if it is time and I sell my 04, I could always sell the SC pretty easily considering the price I can get it for!

I accumulate extra parts like I bought an extra set of R84's w/ Dunlop 5000's that sit in my garage (they may see action in the spring since I really do not like the 17" Superheavies w/ goodyear Rf's...also at a great price (takeoffs)...Luckily I have a large garage! Almost bought an extra Engine for $5000 brand new in its shipping crate, but decided that was too much dinero to have laying around!

Okkkkkkk...point taken. However, there was another small matter to consider...price. Mine was an even-up trade [labor included]. If I had gotten a pulley and had it installed on the '06 SC, I'd be out some bucks. This way, although I'm losing a few overall HP/boost, it isn't a biggie with me, as I am still getting more than I would if I had remained with the stock '06 SC. While I DO enjoy tracking my car with HPDEs, I don't LIVE there.
