Power Loss on Dips (?)

When pulling out of a parking lot with a good-sized dip I am getting a loss of power, almost like stalling, when I hit the gas pedal. Once I flatten out on the road it takes off, almost like a surge. Is there a problem here with getting gas delivered when the car is 'dipping'? Or, is this just a common occurance with the MCS? I have never experienced this before but this is the first supercharged car I have owned.

Thanks for any input.

Could this be DSC throttling back and applying brake? A quick test would be to turn the car off, switch DSC to off, and try it again... if you have DSC. Not sure if ASC does something similar.

you don't need to turn off the car, just hit the dsc/asc (whichever you have) switch. once you see the symbol lit up in yellow on your speedo, try again.

for that matter, if it is dsc/asc, the indicator will light up while it is doing its thing, so you could just watch it while you try exiting your parking lot to see if it is kicking in.

that's my bet...

Thanks for the suggestions. I will watch my guages closely next time to see what's going on. BTW, my car has DSC. I will also try flipping the DSC switch to see if this changes the behavior.

I have also had this problem with my S when going over big speed bumps. My foot won't be any where near the clutch but my babe will begin bucking as if my foot was resting and playing with the clutch as soon as she's done bumping over the speed bumps. The only way it'll stop bucking is if I apply my clutch, as gas'ing does nothing to ease the bucking.

My car is NOT DCS equipted.

this happens to me too. i think its because the one of the wheels is off the ground for a split second and the computer reads it as wheelspin.

Turnnig off the DSC or ASC will cure these issues. Give it a try.

Dsc Baby! Dsc

Very common symptom of DSCitis. A healthy flip o' the toggle switch prior to engaging first gear will solve your woes.
