under bonnet insalation-sound proofing
I did a search but no luck. Was thinking of removing the insulation under the bonnet. Has any one out in NAM land done this? Any problems with heat and engine noise. Thanks

If you have a CAI, you will lose the seal between the bonnet lining and the air box. In this case, I'd advise against removing the lining, otherwise it just looks messy as you see all the lines for the headlamp washers, etc.

Good point--now most CAIs can be "topped off." I like looking at the filter element (I'm weird) and when I saw the underside of my bonnet without the liner (uggly!), I decided the M7 STB was just going to have to fit under it, damn it.
