Have had to leave my MC at airport parking twice for one week at a time. Each time upon starting the MC the battery was dead. First time called Roadside Assistance who gave me a jump. Second time I had an emergent jumper in the MC just in case and was able to jump it myself. Only have 7500 miles on the MC and the dealer is 175 miles away. Am waiting on my first service at 10000 miles.

Anyone else having battery problems?

I was thumbing through my radio manual looking for instructions on how to set the channels and saw a line suggesting one always turn off the radio when leaving the car. I didn't understand why since the music stops when I turn off the key, but apparently juice is still being drawn after the key is turned off. Maybe this is the source of your problem.

Thanks Nuvolari,

I'll try this the next time I'm away for a while.

I also noticed in mine that if you turn the car off and take the key out, then get out of the car and hit the turn signal lever, the side marker lights come on AND stay on. Make sure this isn't happening.

I have sat in my MINI and noticed that the NAV CD-ROM keeps spinning everyonce in a while while the car if OFF. Is there a way to make sure it's not doing anything? I know how to shut off the monitor but I think it's still ON.

This may be the power drain, as you also have the NAV

That could just be the CD slowing down after running. I don't know what it sounds like so I can't say for sure though. Does it shut off when you open the door?

Sometimes while I am in the car and I turn the radio off
I can still hear music and my teeth tingle. What is up with that?
If anyone would know, I figure kool will.
