trouble starting

for the past couple weeks my 02 mini has been starting slower and slower. it takes about 4 seconds for it to start when before it would turn a couple times and start right up. and whenever i am at a stoplight or drive thru the rpms drop and it starts to chug. is this something i should get checked out or just wait till something happens

Check the battery terminals for corrosion. If they're ok, I'm betting that your battery is getting weak.

Probably the battery. I cant think of anything else that would cause that. Just clean the terminals, then see what its like. It its the same, let us know.

Summer gas, if the starter spins the normal speed but takes a couple attempts to run. Mine started doing this the last couple of weeks.
