Overheating at idle. All fuses are OKAY. Ideas?

About 35000 miles on my 04 MCS. I had no overheating problems of any sort until just a couple of weeks ago. Now my fan runs a lot more, and for the first time ever, the car overheats while idling only, never as long as I'm moving. I JUST had it in for service not three weeks before this started happening. All fuses are okay, so it is not the infamous pwr strng fan.

Ideas?

I would pull out the thermostat and test it. That's one easy variable to eliminate.

I'll put my money on a bad thermostat.

It is most likely the power steering fan, which has blown your 5 amp fuse under the bonnet. On earlier cars, the fan for the rad is the on the same fuse as the power steering fan.

Look under the fuse cover in the engine compartment, and check the 5 amp fuse. If it is blown, replace it and check your power steering fan for stickiness.

Hope that helps!
Randy

Sounds like it's not the PS fan as all your fuses are ok.
