This is a common problem with MINIs, one that I've had to deal with myself on a number of occassions. I forget how long, but if you hold up the window button for the offending window for a period of 15 seconds or so, the computer will reset and the window should work just fine. If I recall correctly, it had to deal with some sensor that detects whether the window is fully up or not, so holding the window button up causes the computer to reset and read the sensor position of the window again. If you want more info, though, I'd search for some past threads dealing with this issue, as it's been covered numerous times here before.

Had Windows Serviced

Just had the switches and motors replaced in both windows. I felt very "ghetto" having to get out of the car while paying tolls.

If the window is stuck, hold the window switch down and bang against the door panel just above the speaker. This usually jars it loose. I have had a window stick twice in 2 years of ownership. This trick solved the issue both times.

Just had my passenger window repaired, it wouldn't go up or down. Dealer said it was the "cable", they fixed it quickly under warranty.

May be "ghetto", but do a search on here for stuck window and you will see many have done this. Also, some MINI service techs have even suggested this. If you really need the window open, you have an ace up your sleeve.

My right window stopped going down. I helped it along, now window works, but the door lock is acting stupid now.

I had a problem with intermittant functions, it finally reached a point of not working at all. My dealer (Ralph Schomp) in Denver replaced the non working parts under warranty. LRogers

03 MCS Drivers door grinding solved with regulator and motor at 6k Passenger side intermittent problem now is solved. It's a permanent problem now at 16k

Maybe the dealer can fix my fuel gauge while I am there. I wonder if I checked off the Lucas electronics option by mistake?
