So I'm out of coolent..............

Well short story first.
I need coolent/antifreeze because it all came out of the expansion tank.
The ratio was not right and the coolent became frozen or very slushy and the engine over heated.
Not a good thing at -30f.
So here is the problem what am I to use?
Unable to ship coolent/antifreeze through the mail, hazard chemical.
Any thoughts?

When I needed to add some to my car the first time, I called the
dealer and they told me to use plain ethylene glycol and not the
long-life stuff. I had to ask them because I was unable to find it
documented anywhere in the owner's manual.

Just make sure it's a silicate free blend. Silicates will eat away at the gaskets. I use Prestone all makes all models.

So is there any particular brand or line of coolent to use.
The part shops have no idea.
My next best thought is to get some BMW coolent, will have to be trucked up here some 350 miles.

So after a few calls to some MINI dealerships I was told that the BMW coolent was good to go with.
So after 4 days of waiting and $250 later I'm back out motoring at -30.
Cheers

$250??????? Are they/you crazy? It's just antifreeze. I sure hope you meant
to write $25.00

No the total cost was $250.
The coolent was over $30a gal, got 2 gal. Plus labor.
Due tgo the fact that thge coolent was not adjusted to the extreme temps here my MINI overheated and blew out the coolent through the overflow tank.
I know that itg sounds pretty costly, but no damage was done to the engine and all is well now.
Cheers
Shawn
