radial vs performance.
need to know if radil tires on 17" rims will look as good as the performance ones.
i am not sure i if i have the cash to spend on a winter set of tires. will the performance tires deal with the winter?

Assuming you have a winter with snow and ice, these are the options in order of decreasing quality (IMO):
1) performance tires with a second set of winter tires,
2) All –season tires
3) performance tires only (not recommended)
Keep in mind that you can get a second set of steel wheels (ugly, but functional) and winter tires for approximately $500 dollars from Tire Rack. And, you have all summer to save the money.
