Windows squeal?

Just curious if anyone else has windows that "squeal" whan they go down...not sure if it the car being happy, or if it something that that can be silenced somewhat.

Anyone with a suggestion?

Yup. Had the drivers side fixed by the dealer. Now the pass side does it now and then. Mostly after sitting in the sun.

I had that problem and after repeated tries, I gave up. Then one day I was at the dealer for something else so I thought I would ask what I may clean to get it from squealing. The tech said it was the window regulators and replaced them. They were quiet after that.

Do you know if they used a squirt of silicone spray on the edge of the windows?

I would be interested to know the solution, so I don't have to run to the dealer.

These cars have been out for a while now. Search & you shall recieve. Try squeaky window. Silicone spray isn't the answer.

The drivers door window squeaked for a time and then the window motor broke. Dealer fixed it, and now the passenger side window squeaks.

Probably another window motor will be in order for this window also.

My 03 MCS is always parked in the garage 99% of the time, so I don't think the sun as anything to do with the squeak.

Both of mine did it pretty bad, took it to the dealer and they lubed the window pullies or something like that- covered under warranty. Good luck.
