Help! Intake hose clamp
its very difficult, although possible using a needle nose and screw driver. I held one side/end of the clamp in position and pushed the other end of the clamp over the clip with a screw driver. Got lucky I think. Thus, I got one together and but another I couldn't. I recommend buying a quality hose clamp in the correct size through a auto parts store and use that..... It's easier and you can remove it again if needed....
I agree, the OEM hose clamps suck!!

Option....
A large zip-tie works
this isn't a connection that gets a lot of pressure....
I discovered this same fact - the factory clamp is a 1 time deal - couple of weeks ago when I replaced the stock airfilter with a K&N ....
there's only about 1000 other zip-ties in the engine compartment...what's one more?
{zip-tie = nylon cable wrap ....}

Just go to a hardware shop, look in the septic pipe/gutter aisle and get
your large hose clamps. :smile:

I used a needlenose plier to just squeeze the hook and the bump, just a little twist, click! It would be much easier if I had something that can grip the clamp better.
