Boot hatch rattle

I've had all the fixes done to my MINI on the boot hatch rattle.New latch, new striker. I also adjust the rubber stops, but in the winter having them apply pressure on the hatch, makes it hard to close, so I back them off.

Well it got hot here real fast, and have not adjusted them yet. Now, my hatch only rattles when I have the drivers window down, and going 60+ MPH, in certain head winds.I found out today that if I crack the passenger side window the rattle is gone Still must adjust those rubber stops, but I guess the air pressure in the cabin changes enough with both windows open the rattle goes away.

Touchy beasts, our MINIs! Little adjustments here, little adjustments there, then....ahhhhhh! Perfect!

well, with my stereo now, pushing 110 db, i think ive found every rattle that a MINI has!

with my boot, i added bumpers to my licence plate, pulled the foam out of the bumper and dynamatted the hatch. the last rattle i can seem to find are the acces panels in the boot area on each side. they rattle like theres no tomarrow even w/o the stereo on!

i'm working on a fix for them right now, some sort of anchor to hold them down tight w/o using those little clips....

Well I do tend to drive with windows down, even at - 30F, but I don't have the sound gear to push 110 db.
I have one other rattle, the dash makes a noise, right in front of me, untill I push on it.Then it's gone till the next day.
This may be an issue down the road, but hopefully it will be a long road

The dealer fixed our boot rattle, now the sunroof and interior light have started. It's always something - I think we call it 'charm'. . .

Oh, the dealer fixed mine as well, it used to rattle all the time, windows down or not. Now it's just when one window is open, going over 60MPH into a head wind. I adjusted the rubber bumper things and it fixed it

It never rattles when the Black Lab navigator is sleeping in the hollow of the boot, as she leans against the hatch
