Stupid Question: Where is the Battery?

My 2002 MCS is driven only on sunny days and after three weeks of inactivity sitting in my garage, the battery died. I was able to jump it to get it started since the connections are under the bonnet, but couldn't find the actual battery?! The manual was no help..

Be careful not to kill your battery completely

Your 2002 MINI is lacking the "emergency" boot cable pull under the rear seat cushion.

To jump a MCS can't you hook it up to 2 terminals under the bonnet? Or do you connect right to the battery in the boot? I ask because I have a MCS on the way.

Yes you just use the terminals under the bonnet. The thread starter was just curious as to where the battery was.
