Where is PPG glass in the bay area???

... specifically near Mountainview... I've got a lovely long crack on my '04 MCS. Don't want to spend $600 on the OEM...

These guys are not near Mountainview (they are in San Rafael right near the Home Depot) but they did a great job on my car and were familiar with the parts needed for a Mini:

I was referred to them by an excellent body shop and its reassuring that they know what they are doing and remove all the old urathane, etc, which not every installer does. It also cost much less then the OEM

I called a couple of other places including Glass West and Accurate, but they were also in the $600 end.

Be careful - I was warned away from the mobile guys as they do not necessarily dig out and replace all of the sealant or have the additional moldings/rivets needed for the Mini (which is why some people report the a pillar cover coming off after window replacements).

I think Total Eclipse was a bit less $ too.

I might be wrong but according to my Mitchell book an 04 factory windshield prices should be as followed:

$175 w/ visibility pkg
$260 w/o visibility but w/ rain sensor
$92 w/o visibility w/o rain sensor

Figure $85 to $95 for labor
