the wiper motor in my cooper s has ceased to function. i have vast experience in street car work, and as the local bmw dealer charges $1000.00 for this fix, i've elected to do it myself. however, any help i could get from anyone out there would be great; basic direction, tips, or special tools needed, that sort of thing. thanks in advance-

If I could make a humble suggestion, Bentley Publications makes a very good MINI Cooper Service Manual. If you are a do-it-yourselfer, it should be a first buy. I looked at my copy and found that the wiper motor is rather involved and something that is kind of unusual.

The Service Manual will pay for itself many times over if you don't mind getting your hands dirty.
