I've an '04 MC with the center speedo...the speedo has 7 indicator lights in an arc across the top...the left most one is empty...is that ever an indicator for something?

towards the bottom of the speedo, there are 4 more indicators, all the same diameter, but there is also one more in the middle of the which is smaller diameter....is that little one just a decoration or does that ever light up?

I know, wierd post, but just curious

 

5:45 a.m. here and I know I have my owners manual in my car, but can't access right this moment. Try looking in the owners manual in the section that shows the dashboard. That usually will have a listing of all the little lights and what they mean.

 

so..........any ideas out there about the left most upper indicator light on the speedo and the only small one near the bottom of the speedo?????

 

come on guys...doesn't anyone have any ideas as to what that smaller indicator on the center speedo might be for???????

 

From reading through a manual online thanks to motoringfile.com it seems that there may be some dummy spots. Maybe these are filled on a European or Canadian Mini. I understand you wanting to know what they are but the manual doesn't mention them.

 

My MINI is 800 miles away right now , so I cannot go check, but I know there is one dummy light grouped with the other lights, not sure what the one in the center you are talking about is though.

 

Not for canadian model for sure! Mine too is an empty spot... but maybe it can be used for a second check engine light, you know 2 is better than one... So I could have 2 chekc engine at the same time!
