Please help identifying this coolant part.

Can you help identify this leaking part in my coolant system of my 2012 Base Mini Cooper? Not sure what sensor it is (assuming it’s a sensor).

That is your coolant temp sensor. Unfortunately, there was a service bulletin back in the day that replaced it with a coolant hose and thermostat revision so they are no longer available. You can try pulling it and replacing the seal on it. But, the only other option would be to replace the hose and thermostat with the newer version, which isn’t a trivial task…
