6mt Shift linkage "ball" loose
6mt Shift linkage "ball" loose
So I had a slightly stiff shifter and decided to take a look at the linkage under the air box. Sprayed some lube on the moving parts which loosened up the shifter a bit, but noticed one the ball that the top shift cable snaps on to is loose. There doesn't seem to be any way to tighten it, looks like the back side is flared out, kind of like a rivet. Is there a replacement for these or way to fix it without having to buy a whole "shift unit" as it's called? Seems like if left alone it will fail at some point, leaving me not being able to shift.
If you can't weld it you might try one of these.

+1 Yep or you have to replace the whole pivot piece on top or weld or get that piece and weld on.
