DSC pressure sensor removal

Struggling to remove the DSC pressure sensor from my old brake master cylinder that I'm replacing. The sensor is locked on tight (a new one is $175!). Haven't yet used heat but that's my logical next step. Anyone have a better method?

Follow up: The DSC pressure sensor for the BMW 3 Series (E46) looks exactly like the MINI version. It's 1/5 the cost of the MINI version. Does anyone know if it's interchangeable?

Heat did the trick and I was able to remove the DSC pressure sensor but I would still like to know if the BMW 3 Series equivalent fits. Anyone with experience fitting the BMW piece?
