Hi.

I have a 2010 Mini Cooper 1.6 non-turbo. The car had a broken PCV cover that allowed air to leak past the diaphragm and a very minor oil leak. I replaced the PCV valve because it was throwing a lean idle code.

Now the oil leak has intensified substantially. I can watch it drip drip drip at idle. I also notice that when I turn the car off, it almost makes a "sigh" noise from the PCV hose that wraps around from the top of the valve cover to the rear of the engine. Like air pressure being relieved. I wonder if it's all related?

The drip is coming from the firewall side of the engine. I see it dripping from the bellhousing, but confirmed it's not a rear main seal or oil pan gasket leak. I can see the valve cover and it's not leaking from there. Also not leaking from the vacuum pump. Wondering if anyone has experienced the same or similar situation? I've been researching here and online with no luck. I took off the air cleaner housing and air intake pipes to get a better view but I still can't figure out where it's coming from.

Otherwise, the car shows no other symptoms and runs well. No codes.
