r5 power steering electrical connectors

Hi - I was not careful enough removing the front subframe last week, (2013 MCS) and damaged one of the three plastic electrical connectors on the power steering actuator...specifically, the once closest to the center of the car. Now I cant seem to get the male part of the plug to completely connect to the female socket, and I have dsc inoperative issues, brakes will not hold for a hill take off, and steering angle indication through my foxwell scanner says -1105% or something like that.

I suppose I could replace the entire steering rack, but I'm trying to avoid that huge expense and significant labor effort. It doesn't look like the connector part is available on its own. So - I am hoping one of you really smart and helpful folks will have a brilliant and inexpensive solution to this...

The only other thing I have come up with is de-pinning the wires from the male connector and directly connecting them to their correct individual female connectors - there are 4. But then not sure how I'd seal it from elements.

Help! Thx in advance!

If its on the rack side itself you would need to fix that and try to reseal it.

Otherwise its a new whole rack, JTEKT makes the racks for MINI.
