Outside Temp display blinking!!!
Thank you for reviving this thread!
I've spent half my day today frantically searching for information on this -- I'm new to my MCS and, having bought it used, was in a panic when, over the past week (at seemingly random times while diving), I've heard a ding and the temp light has started blinking. Only had the car for a few weeks and the (non-MINI) dealer warranty is almost expired -- I was convinced I was headed down the road to electrical problem hell. WOW am I relieved to learn this is just an outside temperature thing! Guess I should have put two and two together with the cold snap!
Sorry I'm not posting anything helpful, Bajanmini. Just can't help sharing my excitement. I was nervous about buying my MINI, and as everyone knows, combing forums for reviews leads to reading about the problems some drivers have had. I should know better. Had a Jetta I loved and never had a hitch despite the terrible reputation of VWs!
Anyhow, thanks all!

Can anyone post a pic or link of the sensor? Mine is at -40 all the time too. I probably need a new sensor or need to check if its unplugged but I can't find it behind the bumper. Do I need to remove my front bumper to get to it and/or see it?
