Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs.
While looking things over near the brake reservoir (it's ruptured, I have to change it hopefully tomorrow), I noticed an unplugged wire hanging out nearby:
It's coming from the wiring harness, toward the ECU. It has a 3-pin connector inside, but only a red and a blue wire.
The car don't have any outstanding issue that could be related to an unplugged wire, but I'm still curious about what it could be. Perhaps some option that's not on my Mini?
The Mini is a 2002 r50 without much in the way of options (no ASC/DSC, no cruise control etc...).
Does anyone know what's that cable is about and where it should be plugged?
If no one knows and there is no warning light, it must not be that important!
I'd still appreciate it if someone could check under his hood if they have a similar wire, if it's plugged and if so where.
While looking things over near the brake reservoir (it's ruptured, I have to change it hopefully tomorrow), I noticed an unplugged wire hanging out nearby:
There is only one connector on the brake fluid reservoir and the plug is already connected to it so it's not that.
I didn't see any connector on the coolant / power steering reservoirs (and that wire won't reach anyway).
